Some school called UCLA was another. I'm sure there were plenty more that were never reported bc he got set on ISU pretty fast

He committed to Iowa State 28 days after he announced he was leaving UNLV. It wasn't that fast.

Kentucky was never going to offer him. Rumors where they "expressed interest." That was a rumor floated out by BDJ's brother and had no truth to it.

We beat out nobody for his services.

I know we beat out Arizona State at least but does it really matter anymore?

His AAU coach was the one that floated out the names like Cincy, UCLA, Florida State, Kentucky, etc

We have had great luck with transfers, but simply haven't gotten any of the highly sought after transfers recently. Also, transfer recruiting 5 years ago was far less competitive. Apples and oranges, IMO.

Ha ha Deonte Burton was a Top 50 recruit out of HS. His lone season in college he made the all freshman big East team. What in the world do you define as "highly sought after"? Lottery picks?

He was listed nationally as one of the top transfers (the top transfer by at least one article). He expressed interest in ISU fairly early, and committed after his visit. He would have had more interest without question.

I don't know about everyone else but I'm still blaming the frosted tips for the way the season ended last year.

Not sure why you are trying so hard to prove something that isn't true. It seems like it really bothers you that the transfers ISU has gotten have been some of the best transfers. It's kind of weird

Show one post where I am bothered by Iowa State transfers being some of the best. You won't find one.

I simply corrected somebody and then you, who claimed BDJ was highly sought after. That's false. He was well thought of as a basketball player, but his behavior made him untouchable for a lot of schools. He was ours with little challenge. Keep trying to change the argument though.
