I have a question for you guys. I'm attending my first Cyclones game this weekend, and am about to buy some tickets. What rows on the sidelines are obstructed by the players and coaches? Is row 8 too low to see the field well? I don't really want to spend my first game looking at the back of players instead of the beatdown the Clones are going to put on the corn shuckers.

Row 8 near the corners isn't very good, but if you are in between say, the 20s, I don't think it would be bad at all.

There is no real bad seat in JTS. From past experience I would look for tickets in the upper first level rows 15-30 or lower balcony 1-15. The closer to the 50 the better. Those seats will give you perfect viewing angles. But again any seat will get you a great view of the field so your row 8 seat will be fine. Good luck.

I sat row 1 once and that was bad. I don't think 8 will be blocked by any players, but you might have trouble seeing the whole field due to the slope for drainage.

I don't think row 8 will be too low--but I will say, be prepared to stand. If you are the sitting type, then the upper levels might be a better choice for you. *This is not meant to start a discussion on the merits of standing vs. sitting or vice versa, just some friendly advice!*

Enjoy the experience! I will be out of the country and unable to attend this weekend, unfortunately... But hopefully it's a great experience (and a good game!) for your first time seeing our boys in person!

Buy any ticket you can find, get in and then just enjoy the energy. A football game is not always about finding the 50 yard line seat. You can watch the game from anywhere. Its about being in the middle of the action. I am saying this for a game you have a hard time buying a good seat. Just buy any ticket and cheer on the players.

My first was the 05 colorado Tornado game. May you be so lucky this Saturday!!

They put us parents in the first few rows which are ok if you only want to see your son on the sidelines, but are to low to watch a game. Anyway you will be standing the whole game so be ready. Anyway you will have a great time with the cyclone fans. We went to Penn State game with ove 100,000 fans and it does not compare with the cyclone experience. Go Cyclones

yeah, sit in the upper deck if you can. Unless your in the student section, the lower deck seats aren't even as good. Too flat of a view-- can't see the far end of the field very well. In fact, I've only sat in the front few rows a couple of times.

When the players are near you: good seats... When they're at the other end: awful seats... just have to watch the scoreboard.
