Attendance for Saturday's game

I was hoping that after a win last night we would see one of the biggest crowds in the last four or five years for a game not against Kansas or Iowa.

Considering we lost, I'm worried that some will use that as an excuse not to come out on Saturday. I hope I'm wrong considering it's a new era, but unfortunately that has been the tendency of our crowds in recent memory. The Fred Hoiberg jerseys being given out in Cyclone Alley will hopefully be a good enough incentive for the students to show up.

I hope a crowd of at least 12,000. First home game against a quality opp. It's time to pack Hilton.

I'd bet on 9 or 10K actual attendance. I just don't see the crowd showing up until some sustained success against somewhat decent teams. If we get to conference season with 1 to 3 losses, the crowd should start showing up, I just don't see it happening until then.

Not saying its how it should work, I just think the fans have had more than enough disappointment over the years and with so much fighting for their attention and hard earned bucks, it will take something special to get them back into the seats in a meaningful way.

I'll just go ahead and admit that I won't be in attendance. But I did give my ticket to a friend, who has assured me that he will be there.

Would love to go, but seeing my family for the last time until next June is taking priority this weekend.

Go Cyclones!

Packed crowds and the good old days of Hilton Magic isn't going to come back over night. I don't get the constant worrying or b**tching about attendance. If the team wins, attendance and atmosphere will take care of itself

Still 1,594 tickets available on Cyclones.com. That puts 'announced' attendance at 12,762.

I'd guess we'll see around 10, maybe 11. Student attendance should be pretty good.

Cyclone Alley is giving away 2500 jerseys to the students. I don't even think CA is allocated 2500 seats... but I could be wrong. Either way, I don't see 2500 students showing up. Maybe 1500 or so.

Actual butts in seats will probably be around 10500.

+1

Hilton Magic will be back. It will take some time but I think we have the right man with the right system in place to get it done. It's not dead, its dormant and it will most certainly be back.
