Concourse is about 4' wide.
Pissers outside.

Kinda shocking.
Dude in line for pissers said it was a renovation decision for more space. I can only image what it was like when restrooms were inside. My section still has an inside pisser. One trough for two people and a stall lol.

The only thing ASU and UA have on Hilton is food and beer.

Will be interesting to hear the opinions of the people who attended that one on the overall atmosphere of the McKale Center

Wasn't expecting rain after the game on the drive back to PHX but it kept me awake.
Saw a lotta Iowa plates on that stretch.

Different game, but I went to a random PAC 12 game with Arizona a couple years ago. They definitely stood a lot more than our fans. I also thought on average the season ticket holder was younger. We definitely had a much bigger student section in all. I wasn’t there last night, but Elite McKale is probably on par with elite Hilton. Elite Hilton edges it out though as I think in general we are louder when the opposing team has the ball.

I was very impressed with the atmosphere. It rivaled Hilton for sure and was definitely the best away CBB games I've attended in person. Fans were smart, stood for a good chunk of the game. They had a lot of promos during the breaks but knew how to keep the energy going. That game winning shot and every three on OT was deafening.

I think Hilton has a better layout and roomier concourse. McKale is basically a big bowl with little room between the upper and lower sections. They had self check out beer stations which I wish we had. I didn't get food but the options looked pretty solid.

Fans were kinda ******** after the game. Mainly the students which is to be expected in college town. Had a few fans say good game and thanked us for coming. But I was a little triggered by some of the comments we were getting as we left the stadium - not many of them wanted to acknowledge how lucky that shot was. Overall - couldn't recommend McKale enough if you love college basketball.

I had low hopes for McKale Center after what we experienced at ASU but McKale definitely lived up to the hype. Basically a sell out, few empty seats towards the top. Extremely loud. I think the student section is larger at Hilton, which gives us the edge there but overall fantastic.

As many have mentioned, the bathroom situation was fairly unique but also isn’t all that wild being that it’s in Arizona.

The students were definitely a little chippy at half time and after the game but that’s to be expected. I know our students would be doing the same thing if any opposing school came into town with that many visiting fans in attendance. It basically is just a sign of a school that cares about sports.

And knows their opponent.
3 minutes after the game was over and they fired up Sweet Caroline, I knew that they did their homework.

I was there, section 126!

Place was absolutely AMAZING. really engaged fans, super nice to us, and were really complementary of how we played and are really looking forward to coming to Hilton, super engaged fanbase, very very similar to ours.
GO. TO. MCKALE.

Top tier venue....Hilton gets loud but I don't know if I've ever heard Hilton get THAT loud as when Love hit the buzzer beater....I think the main difference between their fans and ours is that they were energetic for longer. The U of A chant is annoying but it keeps the crowd into the game and that is something I really noticed.

Hilton is still a top tier venue but I was really really impressed by the McKale Center's energy.

I was at Arizona for the game but it was not nearly as loud as Hilton of 30 plus years ago with students mixed around the building. We had the upper deck moving by yelling and jumping up and down for the Oklahoma State game and the Lafester game plus several of the Kansas games in those years.
The lower ceiling at McKale affects the sound there differently. Games used to be loud for more than a 2 minute stretch at Hilton.

Had to take a picture of that because it was too funny. All of that open space too. Probably could’ve put 2-3 more troughs that size or like 8 urinals in that space. View attachment IMG_0464.jpeg
