Took 2 out of 3 from the Twins. Leading the AL Central. Thoughts?

First half: Yes
Second half: Doubtful. They'll trade anyone having a good season at the deadline (which is beyond stupid)

I believe they are. The pitching is excellent if the hitting comes together it could be a strong club. Down side is if pitching goes and hitting remains the same.......Same old Royals.

Their "new" stadium is amazing. This investment might mean owners will begin to keep talent in place. Royals have a great farm system and could make some noise this year and in the future. I hope so!

I think they are. They may not finish in first, but I wouldn't be surprised if they finish .500. Their main weakness now is middle relief. They have 3 solid starters.

I think they are. They will at least be in it, and the AL Central should be a pretty mediocre and even division all year.

The main thing is, they have good starting pitching.... and it will be getting even better soon when they dump Ponson and bring up Hochevar, who is dominating completely in Triple A right now. We really have a shot this year.

As a Royals fan I'd love it if they were. I've been listening to them on the radio which is something I thought would never happen.

It's wayyyyy to early to start this though. They started out pretty well last year too.

If their biggest off season acquisition was Coco Crisp, I would say there is no way that they could compete. Aside from Ponson, they have a tremendous group of pitchers right now.

The thing that kind of makes me feel better about their chances is that these last 2 wins were set up perfectly for your typical crappy Royals loss (and I've seen too many of those to count) but they somehow managed to win the game. They took 3 of 4 from Toronto who still has the best record in the AL as well.

They played around .500 for a good chunk of the end of last year and I think they're a fair amount better this year. The pitching will keep them in a lot of games and hopefully prevent the brutal losing streaks they've had the last few years. Nobody in the AL Central looks capable of running away with it at this point so I think they can at least compete.

They really didn't win 2 of 3. Twins blew the last two games.

As soon as I start to pay attention they will go down the tube...so for their sake...and all of us who still love them, I'll try not to jinx them.

I would probably say they're heading in the right direction, but maybe a year away from contending at the earliest...

The Royals are not for real, Zack Greinke has 5 of there wins himself, without him they would be the usual Royals.
