I remember going to a bar in Ft. Dodge called Tremors. It was attached to a strip club. This was in about 1992. You could get in the bar being only 19 and then you cold go next door to the nudie bar. Good stuff. Last time I was in dodge there was not even a building where it was. It was along the main street. I think it's Highway 20.

What about the Hayloft? I lived in Fort Dodge for a couple of years in the mid-90s and was single. I took home many different girls from this fine establishment that I wouldn't exactly want to take home to meet Mom & Dad.

Would have made the list, but I could not remember the name of the place

I wouldn't call TopHat a drinking establishment.

Top Hat has always been two letters short in my experience. sTop tHat seems much more appropriate.

A few of these places still exist. Roman Inn and Amigos seem like they would be right at home on this list based on the few that I'm familiar with.

Last I knew it was the Stadium. Back when I was a teenager, it was a neighborhood grocery store where I could buy beer until the the the owners son ran for County Attorney.

I may have to try that next time I go back. There was a little taco stand (not Taco Tico, which IS awesome) run out of someone's house back in the early 80's when I was a kid, too - does anyone remember that??

That wasn't a taco stand. You just didn't understand trespassing and wandered in during dinner.

Community still has great pizza. Could do without all the animal heads on the walls. Makes you wonder what they did with the rest of the bodies.....

....just sayin.

:biglaugh: I hope you're not right...

My grandma took me back to Community a few years ago on a trip to see her, and I thought the same thing. It doesn't feel so much like a hole in the wall anymore - especially not with so many things staring at me.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmm. Taco Tico...almost worth an 80 minute drive to go get some right now...

Thanks a lot for igniting a craving. This is what negative rep was for. :jimlad:
