It appears that he is getting one more year from what I’m hearing. I don’t understand that in today’s world but I hope next season is ... well, it can’t be any worse.

I guess that is true. My book was just giving more of just a general idea with a median value. I found this info from the NCAA on revenues at Iowa State up until 2019, and yeah we definitely ride those allocations.

If you’re Fred why would you come back?
Sure he had some of the best years in ISU history, but things have changed so much since then! Do I think he would have sustained success if he stayed? Yes - but he didn’t!
People would expect immediate results of when he left (top 10 team) and that is completely unrealistic! Not saying he couldn’t do it, but the pressure would be so much higher the second go round. Why subject yourself to that?
The Hoiberg ship has sailed, people need to move on!!!
He is not getting another year. The opportunity cost is way too high for waiting to make a change. He is gone in another 2 weeksIt appears that he is getting one more year from what I’m hearing. I don’t understand that in today’s world but I hope next season is ... well, it can’t be any worse.
Do you want to be on ESPN+ all year next year? Neither does Jaime because you lose $M in brand marketing power.People making the argument that the decrease in ticket sales for basketball would have a far bigger impact that just paying CSPs buyout should study this chart. $16M revenue in ticket sales with over $13M coming from football doesn't agree. Most of the other columns aren't affected by the success of our basketball program.
I want a coaching change as bad as anyone but when it comes down to it it'll be about finances which means donors. The budget isn't going to carry the buyout without pulling funds from other areas which means football and I don't support that.
It's clear that his performance hasn't been good enough for him to continue, but for the finances to work out donors are going to have to step up, so what's everyone going to contribute? I'm likely going to bump up a level in donations this year, but that's a drop in the bucket for what needs to be raised.

Starting seniors on senior day is standard isn’t it?This was probably talked about in another thread though but a comment from other night game. Starting Schuster and Steyer seems to be telling that the decision is made on CSP. I don't know if it means he's going or back, but that was not the move or someone fighting for their job.
(Although he's had plenty of rotation decisions that made no sense to me so who knows)
JP has been ok. His facilities planning has been great, but his coaching hires have been mediocre at best. GMac, Chizik, and Prohm were disasters. CPR was ok. Hoiberg and Campbell were great, but he also lost Kindler and Sanderson (only the greatest active coach in the entire sport whose an alum).
Honestly, without Campbell this fanbase would be having an entirely different conversation about replacing JP.

I'll play your game who should we replace JP with so we have a better AD?
It's fine that people have criticisms and opinions about the AD and coaches, but I can damn well guarantee the most vocal at complaining aren't held to the same standard that they demand by their employers.

Not walk ons.
