Just thought I would put my two cents in and say the their new album, minus their new single, absolutely sucks. It sounds completely different from everything they have done before. So save your money and don't buy it; or save your disk space from downloading it.

the one you have is probably fake. theres an album going around that has the single, and then a bunch of songs from another (terrible) band. It was distributed to fend off illegal downloading.

I thought that the album didn't come out until the 15th???
Anyway all of the new stuff that I've heard so far is a little bit different but I still love it!

Yep, there is a fake album going around that is actually songs from Bennington's old band, Grey Daze. I too downloaded it thinking "Wtf, this is it??". Yeah the only song that is on the actual album is the single.

I just downloaded it and the songs are the same as the ones they have on the website. I guess I am just a fan of the harder rock/rap that they did in the first two albums. This one is too slow for my taste.

Yeah I know, they put all the real names on the album of course. I download the same album you've got, like two weeks ago. Trust me, it's not LP. The only real song on there is the single.

Sorry man I just think we have different downloads, because Shinoda is on it and the titles of every song are in the song. If you go to Wiki it says that they used a lot of different types of sounds and instruments on this album.

I've been a huge LP fan ever since their first album, and I think you're likely mistaken about the new album. I really don't think you can get the album online before it's actually released. No offense, that's just the way I see it. Also, I really doubt it is actually Shinoda on the "album" you downloaded, and I wouldn't always trust Wikepedia, although it's probably true about the new instruments.

Have you been to linkinpark.com recently? They have some recently added music on there that is likely to be "samplers" of the new album. I'd check that out and see if any of that stuff is on the album you downloaded.

I just went to the LP website and clicked on music and the song "Given Up" started playing which is the exact song that I have downloaded. I use torrents and go through isohunt.com and use software called BitLord to download them. It IS the album and if you don't believe me download it yourself.

the music video for the new single "what ive done" is pretty cool. Its a copy/toned down version for a real good video by Rise Against for "Ready To Fall". RA's video was absolutely amazing and powerful in its message, so much that they had to make a censored version.

if you want to watch the uncut video here's the link below. Its pretty graphic so i express caution when watching. It has to do with how much humans have messed up the world.

IMO, LP has gone downhill dramatically since their first album. The second one I couldn't bring myself to buy, so I burned it, listened to it 4 times, and decided that was enough of that album for me. Their albums have gone the opposite route that Murder by Death's has; from bad to good for MBD, and from good to bad for LP. Sad really.

While I love all of LP the first album was insanely good! Although my all time favorite of theirs is "Nobody's Listening" is off of their second album.

+ I loved the work the Jay-Z

This is the song Nobody's Listening with a slide show (9/11 to Iraq)
I'm not posting this to pick a fight about Bush or the war, I just love this song and thought the slide show was done nicely.

I know a lot of people hated Reanimation (the second CD), but I honestly liked the thing quite a bit. A lot of that was probably due to the fact that I was in high school at the time, but I still really enjoy some of the songs they did on that CD, especially the remix of Crawling.

I don't really think they've gone downhill, but I do think they're a little to "market friendly," i.e. too many remixes. I thought Meteora was a very good quality CD from top to bottom, and had a thicker and better sound than Hybrid Theory. Needless to say, I can't wait for Minutes to Midnight....it's been a long wait.

Well, if anyone else likes metal, this Dave guy does some hilarious song interpretations of bands such as Slipknot and Trivium. Here's a [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvHiqqOqu8U"]LINK[/ame] to his Slipknot interpretation.

this new album is supposed to be a lot like hybrid theory when it comes to how it sounds....since hybrid theory was by far their greatest album...that is great news

For those in question the actual cd has leaked, there is the fake cd having only "What I've Done" as the only real track on the cd. But the one that got leaked today is the real one. It definately has a lot of variation to the songs...Bleed it Out almost sounds like a country hoedown. There are a lot of good slow songs on it, but I agree if your more into the hard rock Linkin Park this CD is missing a lot. However, the cd is still good and shows their ability to work with new areas. There were several songs that I did not like when I first listened to them...but they are growing on me. Id recommend giving some songs another shot.
