I don't know for sure but guessing they didn't want to put their kid through the notoriety. Nice kid but the type of kid that usually ends up the butt of these type of thing. It happened at a meet in Adel which I doubt affected the decision all involved were in 8th grade at the time. Seniors now.

Personally I felt it was minimum bully and I believe sexual assault. School was in CYA mode. Superintendent was run out of DMPS for being worthless but had friends on our school board. Just another example of my disappointment in the school district.

When my kids were in HS, three seniors held down a sophomore in the football locker room while a fourth senior put his balls on the kids face. Someone reported it to the school, but the mom didn’t want to press charges and pretty much wanted to pretend it didn’t happen. The main kid had to sit out a few basketball games. I don’t think anything happened to the other kids. HS is a pretty messed up place. Oh, the kid that put his balls on the other kids face is now a teacher and coach.

I will say I thought at first the woman was getting vape stuff to sleep with the kids, turns out she was giving them vape pens. She’s not an ugly woman from the picture I saw. I will state again that this stuff is all wrong just incase someone thinks I’m saying it’s not a big deal. I just don’t understand any, even remotely, attractive woman having to pay for sex.

It's reported to DHS and they decide how to move forward.
Not necessarily. According to my take on the DHS website, law enforcement are also often called. In fact, in one point, they are encouraged to.

Really don't know if Dallas County Sheriff or Adel PD were notified. But I do know our school district deemed one track meet as sufficient punishment.

I am 95% sure that in cases of sex crimes, severe violence, and serious injury from suspected abuse it is required to be reported to DHS and Law Enforcement.

Like I said I have no idea if law enforcement was contacted. I just know no charges were filed.
