Ames small home for rent?

I have been looking pretty hard for a small house in Ames to rent, Recent grad and likely living alone. Would like to have a garage, any of you know of anything or where is a good place too look? I've kept an eye on craigslist but haven't found much.

People have asked why I don't just purchase a house, I guess I am not ready for that commitment yet, as much as I hate throwing money away towards rent.

I am not looking for houses in the campus area really, would think I would be able to find something still available north or west, but maybe not.
