As the thread name implies, looking for suggestions on Ames restaurants with a party room. We have a group of college friends getting together with families for a friend's 40th birthday. Families include a number of children under the age of 10, so emphasis on a place that is family-friendly, or at least doesn't mind kids who are LOUD. Going the men's game on December 15th, but looking for go out to dinner the evening of the 14th. I know that Jethro's up there has some kind of room, but if folks have other suggestions, that would be appreciated. Not sure how many people, but let's say 20ish for now. Thanks!

Maude's has a room that we've reserved for a group that size in the past.

Good to know, but would that work with little kids? I should probably add that to the post, there will be quite a few kids under the age of 10.

Shrug. Maude's isn't necessarily super kid friendly, from a menu standpoint, in my view, but it's not like they're not allowed in the building.

Jethro's definitely has a space and I think it would be fine with younger kids and if you were being loud. Not sure how many total people it would seat but I would imagine 40+.

Dublin Bay used to reserve room sections, or Iowa Stater at Gateway (Iowa Stater was usually pretty quiet whenever I was there, but being attached to hotel I imagine they get all ages and from what I remember their party room is pretty well separated from main dining). I would guess Pizza Ranch has something. I think both El Azteca locations might but not positive.

Mullets might...West Town Pub...that they replaced had a smaller party room. Jethros is a good option. As is Pizza Ranch. Perfect Games also has space. They have bowling and a game room with a play structure that is nice for young children.
