Ames Flooding

I was still in Cedar Rapids in "93, I-380 was closed at Coralville Bridges for weeks. I like the desert climate better............yet we had floods here last summer with record breakers in July '06

Here's some pictures I took this morning just south of I-80 at the Van Meter exit. Just to put them in perspective the dragline bucket is about 8' tall and this is about 1/2 a mile from the raccoon river.
