Ames contractor recommendations

I'm looking to have our kitchen and half bath remodeled, but don't have the time or knowhow to do it myself. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good contractor in Ames?

We went through United this summer for a room remodel, and they were great. They were recommended to us by a local interior decorator, who said she works with them all the time with her customers, and doesn't get complaints.

We gutted our Ames townhome as a second home. Used Mike Kamp, Kamp Construction. Could not be happier. We have built two new homes in Minnesota and a commercial building. For a project like yours, Mike is as good as it gets.

If this is the case it could be that they are to busy. If they were truly wanting work they would of gotten back to you. Just make sure to get multiple bids just to assure that one company isn't taking you to the cleaners.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to get some remodeling ideas at the Des Moines Home and Garden Show next week and then contact a few of these people.
