Well, considering he has yet to play a team with a winning record, it sits alright with us. Not to mention, I don't even really care how he does down there. He could make the NCAA Tourney every year, build a super-power program, etc..., and I could care less. The fact is, he was given plenty of time to do that at Iowa, didn't, and never related to the Iowa program.

I'm glad he's out of IC, and I'm glad the Hawks have Lickliter now. I couldn't be happier with the situation. New Mexico will have a better season than Iowa, that's fine with me. But I'm excited for the future of the program.

here in Lobo Land they think they "Stole" a coach from EIU. Previous comments concerning who they have beaten are well taken. Lobo Mania about round ball is everywhere. Football team whent 8-4 and no bowl game..........and nobody cares! Weird.

I think they could still make the Texas Bowl, am I right? They have the clause that says if the Big 12 doesn't have that 8th bowl eligible team, they go to the Mountain West for a team. Plus they have 8 wins, I mean they're in the Mountain West but how does that not make them somewhat attractive to a lower tier bowl?

I hope Alford wins a national championship at New Mexico, just to spite Iowa.

If I were a Hawk, I'd still be thrilled he was gone if he were 20-0 out there...he just wasn't right for them. All we need to ask ourselves as Clone fans: Do we wish he would have signed a 20 year contract extension? Hell yeah!! and not just because of his record. I'll miss him!! They won't.

Umm Alford is Mr. November and his teams always play their best early in the season. I'm sure the trend of falling apart in February and having to make a run in the conference tourney will continue.

I wish the hawks would have never gotten rid of Alford, he made Iowa State University look great. On an off-note I hope that iowa keeps ferentz too, because ISU can always use that extra win each year. Thanks Kirk!
