I'm happy he mentioned James White as a guy he'd like to see get more carries. I completely agree.

I ran into Alexander a the week before finals and got to sit down and talk with him about the whole Draft process. It was really cool and interesting to hear. He is a real stand up guy. I had met him before, maybe a year ago, and I went to introduce myself and he remembered my name...pretty sweet. I wish him nothing but the absolute best.

Obviously, I am very biased, but I would take A-Rob over many of the backs rated ahead of him.

First thing that he's got to do is secure an invite to the combine. If he can do that, it all comes down to the 40 time. If he can run in the 4.4s, he'll be drafted. If he runs a 4.55+, he probably won't. It will be interesting to see if ARob, Lamaak, Sims and Franklin can get that combine invite. Arnaud won't get that opportunity due to his injury...it came at a really bad time because I don't know if he'll be ready for camp even if he gets an invite somewhere.

A-rob is a great guy and I'm confident that he'll at least get into a camp next summer and I give him pretty good odds at making a roster due to the fact that he is a complete back. You can count on him to block or catch just as much as you can count on him to run.

Way up there
I don't expect Arob to get drafted, unless he does something that really stands out at the workouts but I think he'll be in someones camp next fall for sure.

He's a great reciever out of the backfield. I know Minnesota could use him. They should have drafted a guy like Arob last year instead of Gerhart.

I'll take someone like Gerhart over A-Rob every single time. You're in deep **** if your running back goes down and you're counting on A-Rob as your feature back. Gerhart at least can be a serviceable back.

Back off the sauce vikings homer. Btw, your team is getting embarrassed on MNF right now.

Gerhart is a better back than A-Rob....let's not get crazy here. However, I really hope A-Rob can make it as a 3rd down back. Maybe a little like Chester Taylor. He is a very smart player who can block, catch the ball, and does well on draws and plays like that. If he manages to convince a team he can play, I'm afraid that his injury problems will prevent a team from drafting him. Maybe just getting to camp and proving it to a team without investing a draft pick will be his best bet.

This. I think the Chester Taylor comparison is spot on.

Every team in the NFL would take Toby Gerhart over Alexander Robinson.

Robinson will not be drafted nor should he be. As much as we give credit to our own (AA is not nor ever will be an NFL QB), he doesn't deserve the spot over other backs with better size, speed and numbers. Love the guy, but the NFL is a business and nice guys only succeed when they are faster, bigger and stronger than the others which ARob arguably isn't. Maybe he gets an FA invite, but its just as cannon fodder.
