Lets all freak out. Then again lets not. Fred is here for a while in my opinion.

Fred is not in this for the money. Anyone who thinks so is clueless.

Fred said at the very beginning his dream is teach his children basketball and potentially coach them at a high level. He will not leave for the NBA (which will be for the challenge, not the money) until all of his kids have graduated high school, and maybe even college. Book it.

Good, maybe finally when the Timberwolves hire someone else, people, media, and Minnesotians especially will quit speculating that Fred is leaving for the NBA.

At least for a year.

If Fred leaves for the NBA now, just after raking in a $600k salary bump, his reputation will take a major hit. I can't see him doing that.

I love the Wolves, but they aren't a winner right now.....Fred will get 2-3 years and then might be looking for a job. I think the whole transfer thing helps give him his NBA "free agent fix"

This situation is a little different. He's close with some of the players, management, and ownership. That's the only hesitation I have. I have no doubt he'll get a phone call. There will be some anxiety, but I think he'll turn them down.

Why is everyone talking about Fred? This has nothing to do with him.

I'm hearing a lot of Kevin Ollie chatter. Oh well, it least he got his NC before making the jump.

Wrong. No anxiety, I don't know what you're trying to stir up but it's ridiculous.

It's a worse job even then what Stevens took over in Boston. At least Boston had already accepted that they were going to be rebuilding. If he goes to Minnesota he'll get the worst end of a sharp decline when Love decides to walk and then he'll still have to do the re-build (assuming he is able to stick around that long). He clearly thinks he's on the brink of greatness here, why leave for that nightmare of a situation? Flip is going to end up stepping in to coach at least this year.

Unless you have some inside information...YOU are speculating just as much as he is.

If there is one organization and timing with said org we should be concerned or at least slightly mindful of....its the Minnesota gig and its opening right now.

No i dont think he takes it.....but its not outrageous to think he might listen. Pretty sure he even has a favorable clause in his contract about this correct?

Have you ever had to explain to your kids why you are moving for the upteenth time? How they will have to say goodbye to all their friends and move back to the cold barren wasteland that is Minnesota?

Do you realize it just snowed 4 inches in Minnesota this morning?

Do you realize how much money you could save by switching to Geico?

If you answered "no" to any of these questions, then grab your ankles and wait for the paddlin.
