ISU WBB dropped their third straight this morning at Oklahoma, 75-66, after being down by as many as 20. Nikki Moody scored a career-high 30 points. Sounds like it was another case of starters not finding many points (aside from Moody), the team getting blasted on the boards, and not getting timely stops on defense.

I think we were down by 23 at one point in the second half. We were just down 13 at half and I think gave up 10 points in the first 4 minutes. Then Moody went off.

Moody had 6 points in the first half, 24 in the second. At times, she can look like the best player in the nation.

At least someone had a good game today. Moody with 30, Fernstrom and Williamson were next with 8 each. That's not going to win you many games.

Why the morning game?

Some dumb promotion OU did where they gave away tons of free tickets to elementary school kids. If I was a season ticket holder, I would have been really ****** to have them schedule a game this way during the week. Their numbers have been down, so I guess they're trying to find some new fans. Even the men's game last night had thousands of empty seats, and that was a game with two ranked teams!

I'm concerned with the "flow" of this team. Why is it that each game we have one player that gets it done and everyone else isn't there. Fennelly referred to it as players not showing up. When I looked at the second half schedule I saw lots of winnable games. Now we've dropped two of those (OU was going to be tough at home) and I'm not sure where the next win will come from the way the individuals are playing. Still lots of opportunities, but they have to rediscover "team" in a hurry.

One way to fill up an auditorium. Fill it with kids.

Players not showing up sounds like a Bill F motivation problem. He is saying that way too much lately.

Maybe it is time to shake up the starting line-up. We have two starters who have scored 13 & 16 total points in the last 3 games. Maybe they should start the game on the bench and get an idea of the flow. Two of the bench players have scored 10 & 15 total in those 3 games with a total of 82 min. of play vrs 207 for the starters. Start the people who are producing right now.

This team is very limited in what it can do offensilvely, and no one knows that better than other big 12 coaches. They sag off Tseanna, the hang on Brynn and Kidd at the 3. Only players keeping defense honest is Bre and Nikki, and to some extent Durr.

Durr played a lot of minutes this game.

Agreed. I'd like to see Durr starting and Kidd coming of the bench with the hope of giving the team a spark.

Definitely worth a try.

When only one player can dribble past her defender, it makes for a difficult climb for the offense. Everyone has the book on this team without Jadda. I sure hope Stark can help out next year, or we may have the same problem again. I hope Kid and Emily are practicing pick-and-roll, because we need help. Nikki can't carry the offense every minute of every game.
