15 years too late for me! That was my date spot in college but never had anything close to Ames!

I've been saying for a long time that area of town near all those hotels needed some more restaurants. I'm surprised Olive Garden is going in there. Would have expected a Cracker Barrel or a Waffle House (some place that served breakfast, and yes, I know Flip'n Jacks is there). Perhaps this will encourage another restaurant to move in to give some choice.

I was surprised that the TX Roadhouse didn't go there.

Can only eat so much salad and breadsticks. Sonic would go over well in the right location. Need restaurants in CyTown! Also fix the blight on Lincoln Way across from Friley.

Olive Garden only works for dates north of the Mason Dixon with your spouse.... because when you are there, you're family.

Man, I would think that they were going downhill and not actually expanding.
Agreed, I thought they were going the way of Applebees, Chilis, Fridays, etc.

I went to an Olive Garden about a month ago after having not been to one in probably a decade. I don't feel a need to go back. The food was okay I guess, but I have so many better Italian options near me that are in the same price range.

To be fair, I'm not feeding a bunch of little kids, though.
