Using the exception to prove the rule is always fun...

I'm just saying I'd feel much more comfortable knowing we had a reserve post player. Carter could be that guy though.

Going 8 deep isn't an exception, it's normal in basketball. Hell 7 deep is normal in basketball. Kentucky using platoons is the exception. But I'm not surprised that you're wrong, again.

What have I been wrong about? Basketball improving every year under Fred?(it did). Football team being better this year?(it is). Warren being the best RB since A-Rob?(nope, I was right again). Maybe it's you who's delusionaly wrong. I understand though, common fans like you usually don't understand the finer points.

Awfully arrogant as usual. You were one of the fools who swore Fred would never leave before this season and claimed those who basically laid out the signs that he was gone were idiots.

You must be forgetting that there is going to be a lot more fouls called this year bc of the freedom of movement emphasis...

Are you going to name all the things you are wrong about? Also I wouldn't say ISU bball improved last year from the year before.

We don't want to get into the long list of things you've been wrong about.

I guess I could back and find your post stating you'd leave CF if ISU didn't make a bowl...

You may want to give your prior posts a quick glance.

We aren't talking about being 8 deep though. We are currently talking 6 deep without a single post player being ready.

Correct. I wish we were 8 deep. We may be by conference season and that would be fine but as of now we don't seem to be.

Prohm has been very atimate that we are in fact 6 deep at this point. Does that mean they'll only play 6? No but that's the amount of players he feels comfortable with until Burton gets ready at this point in time. Cooke proved a bit last night IMO. Maybe that # grows to 7.

I'm guessing that is his point. Feels great 1-6, and wants 7,8,9 to step up.

Murray State had 9 players who averaged at least 11 min. per game last year. Doubt that Prohm changes his style much.

Uh. He better. Otherwise I don't know what he's saving 2 potential All-Americans and the Conference Defensive POTY for. It's going to be hard for those guys to get 35 minutes a game if 9 guys are getting at least 11 minutes per.

6 deep is better than we were at this point all but one year under Fred (last year)

7 deep now *******

http://www.iowastatedaily.com/sports/article_4f4ec526-8573-11e5-aaa4-7fd4792abca0.html

"Those six players consist of his five experienced starters: Georges Niang, Abdel Nader, Monté Morris, Naz Mitrou-Long and Jameel McKay, along with junior Matt Thomas coming off the bench. That has become a top seven after Hallice Cooke’s performances in the early season.
“Those seven guys, they kind of separated themselves.”"

If anyone stuck around cyclones.tv for the press conference after the game Friday, Prohm said Hallice played himself into the rotation with what he showed in the Toledo and GVS games. He also said normal rotation will probably be Nader out first with Thomas in, so Nader can turn around and relieve either Niang or McKay at the 4 spot.
