If we have the same record as TX, and they lose to KU or OU ( who likely finish 1-2 in standings), we have the tie breaker based on us having victories over KU ( start there than move to OU). If there is a 3 way tie with TX and Baylor or WVU , we than lose the tie breaker to both of them based on head to head records

Ok, I get it now. Thanks for clarifying.

As the 6 seed we'll likely face Baylor or West Virginia. Baylor beats us with their length. WV beats us with their depth.

Ive run many scenarios, and none of them have matched us up with Baylor. I get WV most common, than OU, than Texas. For Baylor to get the 3 seed, they would have to win at OU.

Baylor finishing at 11-7 by themselves and Texas and ISU finishing 10-8 gives us the 5 seed and Baylor the 4 seed.

The two "upper-tier" teams that I will guarantee a win over in KC are Baylor and WV.

Yeah we can definitely play Baylor in the 4/5 game, but highly unlikely in the 3/6 game.

Running the mred generator, I think we are a lock for the 6th seed, and will either play WV or OU. I think Texas splits there last two home games with OU and KU, and since they nearly took down OU in Norman I give them that one. The one game for me that is really hard to read is WV@Baylor. If WV wins that game, OU gets the 3 seed. If Baylor wins that game, WV gets the 3 seed. Right now, I like WV better than Baylor, so I will give WV the win in that game and get this...

1. Kansas (15 - 3)
2. West Virginia (13 - 5)
3. Oklahoma (12 - 6)
4. Texas (11 - 7)
5. Baylor (10 - 8) Defeated Iowa State based on head-to-head record.
6. Iowa State (10 - 8) Lost to Baylor based on head-to-head record.
7. Texas Tech (9 - 9)
8. Kansas State (5 - 13)
9. Oklahoma State (3 - 15)
10. TCU (2 - 16)

Heres what it would like like if we won all our home games...

1. Kansas (15 - 3)
2. Oklahoma (12 - 6) Defeated Iowa State and West Virginia based on round-robin record.
3. Iowa State (12 - 6) Defeated West Virginia and lost to Oklahoma based on round-robin record.
4. West Virginia (12 - 6) Lost to Oklahoma and Iowa State based on round-robin record.
5. Texas (11 - 7)
6. Texas Tech (9 - 9) Defeated Baylor based on record against #2 teams.
7. Baylor (9 - 9) Lost to Texas Tech based on record against #2 teams.
8. Kansas State (5 - 13)
9. Oklahoma State (3 - 15)
10. TCU (2 - 16)

While I want to win it all obviously, I'm hoping for at least one win in the Big 12. Then a 5 seed beating the dreaded 5/12 jinx and rolling from there.

Who cares what we finish in the big xii, we'll probably be a 6 or so in the NCAAs. And lose 2nd rd.

This is quite confusing. We already have seven losses, and we were swept by WVU.

At this stage, I am fine with 6 seed since they play on Thursday night and I can attend. Not sure I would take the day off work to watch the 4/5 game.

I think Texas is the only team we have a chance to beat

Thats what it would look like if ISU won all its home games...
