I have 4 key players:

Rump- If he is healthy he makes a difference inside
KO- If he is healthy he makes a difference he can block anyone for the most part
Hicks- Please God someone help us on the OL
WR- This position as a whole needs to produce. Lenz made some big plays last week but Darks, Reynolds, Horne etc need to step up.

Horne had a pretty impressive game and Darks was out. I think the key players are our entire offense and our defensive line. With players back they will be improved, but from the UNI game I was only content with the play of the LB and DB's.

What about the LB they Jake needs to continue to disrupt plays and we need to see a little more from AJ.
This...stopping the run and forcing cocker to prove he can hold on to the ball has to be the top priority

Okay - besides the names you listed i will add three:

1. J. Washington - Safety, imo the need for safety run support and at the same time not selling out to allow single over the top is key. Iowa does a great job of forcing the defense to come up only to then send McNutt or Davis over the top. I'm more worried about davis emerging in this game. McNutt will take coverage with him, thus freeing davis up for potential big plays. Our secondary need to make good reads and tackle.

I think the difference will be determined in the defensive backfields and I think we have a distinct advantage this year. Washington really impressed me last week, both of coverage and tackles. And I sit in the endzone section so that I can watch this.

There were no holes. The O-line rarely got to the 2nd level, UNI's LB's were filling the holes.
Our line looked like they had no idea what their assignments were. It was an all around sad performance. Who is our O line coach? As much as they were bragging on this group I expected some holes to open up. If they can't do it against UNI, they are not doing it this week.
