Farniok was also released today.

Who all is still left on a roster?

E.J. Bibbs (Cleveland)
A.J. Klein (Carolina)
Kelechi Osemele (Baltimore)
Ahtyba Rubin (Seattle)

Anyone else?

Edit: David Irving was also waived by Kansas City. I think there may just be four Cyclones on NFL rosters to begin this season.

Admittedly, I don't pay close attention to the TB Bucs, but I thought LJ had a shot at some more playing time once that other DB retired after blowing his hand off with fireworks.

I think Johnson's injury contributed to his release. Might have had a good shot if he stayed healthy.

Carter Bykowski

Probably add Farniok to that list by the end of the day.

Did Bykowski get cut? He was put on IR I thought.

I thought so too...looks like he was waived from the list on 8/31...too bad, he was 2nd string LT and was having a great preseason.

I don't think so. He was put on the IR list on the 31st. He's just on IR. They didn't cut him.

This is what I saw on vikings.com--

08/31/2015 Waived T Carter Bykowski and placed CB Josh Robinson on the Reserve / Physically Unable to Perform list.

Yeah, but he's still on Minnesota's IR, though, and they own his playing rights. It's an NFL rule that players with less than 4 years in the league can't be put on IR in the preseason without being exposed to waivers. He cleared waivers and is still on the Vikings IR. Once the 53 man rosters have been set, they could have sent him to IR without exposing him to waivers, but they were betting nobody would claim him, so they did it early.

That makes sense...just saw they did the same thing with Kafka.

Johnson was starting 2 years ago. I find it hard to believe he doesn't have a place somewhere.

When Leonard was at the Jack tonight I thought maybe the refs would call a personal foul on him for old times sake. Sad he was cut.

Johnson will end up on an NFL roster this year- take it to the bank

For the rest of you keep your heads up, your careers aren't finished yet

Eh, I don't know about that. Brun could maybe play in another league, but I don't think he gets another shot in the NFL. Sadly, I don't think Farniok will either. LJ should be able to catch on somewhere and same with Lenz (assuming Cleveland doesn't sign him to their practice squad).
