Grant it we have a vicious schedule remaining but I think we spring an upset with one of the 3 games left and become bowl eligible. How do you see us finishing up and where do we pick up the 6th win?

I'm going to drink the kool-aid and say Rhoads goes at it in style and knocks off Okie State on Nov. 18th. We have two weeks to prepare, and they'll be looking to their matchup with Oklahoma.

Hoping Okie St. comes in undefeated. It's a good set up for us. If we get some wind/weather, I think we will have a shot at giving them a game. We have played well and upset Okie St. in Ames in November in the past.

I think things work out well for us to give OSU a scare. Not much of a chance, but a slight chance.

We're the last team they play before Oklahoma, that's pretty much a National Championship play in game for them because Big 12 absolutely crushes everybody in the computer 1/3 of the equation.

We had a win, but the kind of win that whips us into shape for two hard weeks of practice.

We have a couple weeks to get healthy.

Getting #6 against KSU is still A TON more likely, but we have a shot to play national spoiler.

5-4 with 3 games to go. Just like last year.

Must find a way to get win #6 (at least.)

Enough with 5-7 seasons with one signature upset win a year.

I agree about the 2 weeks to prepare. That gives the coaches and players time to prepare and try and make the best game plan possible to beat OSU.

Tech beat OU at home. We beat Tech on the road. Therefore, OU and ISU don't need to play. Just give us the win.:psmile:

We pick up the 6th win against OSU, the 7th win against OU, and the 8th win against K-State. How complicated is this???

We have almost no chance at winning the rest of the games but I am okay with that. Also, I wont go too far and say no chance becasue stranger things have happened. This has still been a very interesting year and I am very happy with what Rhoads has done here. Also, it is crazy how good this conference has been this year. Nevertheless, my expectations are going to be higher next year.

Why are Cyclone fans fine with having an "Okay" season. I'm tired of the 5-7 seasons. I won't be happy with another 5 win season. We need to go bowling every year.

We'll see how the B12 does in bowls, but I don't believe anyone has found a more impressive non-conf season by any conference in the modern era. In a week or two the B12 SOS rankings are just going to be a mix of 1-10. Maybe one or two B12 teams won't finish with a 1-10 SOS.

The crazy thing is, we're replacing Mizzou and the A&M Jar Jerkers with teams that have been SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER at the sport of football.

I'm in no way saying we can beat OSU... BUT... one thing that we can hang our hat on is that OSU's overall defensive ranking is like 110th in the country. Which means, we'll probably score 13 pts on them like we did today against KU.

The bad part though, is that OSU is averaging 49.9 pts per game on offense.

IF, and this is a big if, but if we play like we did against TT... we might be able to keep the OSU game within reach in the 4th quarter. MIGHT. That's if OSU plays pretty bad too of course.

Maybe because we're still digging ourselves out of a big talent deficiency vs. most of the conference and we have a top ten schedule for the second year in a row. Rhoads' first full recruiting class are redshirt freshmen. Give it time. Rhoads' great coaching has made some people forget where we really stand right now.

I think K-state will be an interesting game for us. I also have a feeling about Oklahoma State, it could be the tailgating bratwurst that didn't look quite right but I ate anyways.

I was thinking and maybe one of your statistician types would know, how many ISU coaches into their 3rd season (9 games in) have had a .500 record? CPR is awesome.
