There were people giving excuses last year and built in excuses with COVID this year even though every team has had to deal with it.
Can Campbell coach basketball?
Ralph Jordan - Wikipedia
He wouldn't be the first Coach to do that at a Major University!
The Great Ralph "Shug" Jordan (as in Jordan-Hare Stadium) won 136 Basketball Games at Auburn and Georgia before he became the football HC at Auburn in 1951 where he won 176 games and the 1957 AP National Champion between 1951-75. He also coached Auburn's first Heisman Winner: Pat Sullivan in 1971.
More importantly, he was also an Army Officer in WW II served in North Africa, Sicily and was wounded at Normandy (Purple Heart and Bronze Star). After he recovered, he was sent to the Pacific Theater and served in Okinawa!
When I was a kid, Shug was coaching Auburn, and Bear was coaching Alabama.
I'm no Auburn fan, but I am a helluva Shug Jordan fan!
Just wanted to share that story because your comment reminded me of it.
