He wouldn't be the first Coach to do that at a Major University!

The Great Ralph "Shug" Jordan (as in Jordan-Hare Stadium) won 136 Basketball Games at Auburn and Georgia before he became the football HC at Auburn in 1951 where he won 176 games and the 1957 AP National Champion between 1951-75. He also coached Auburn's first Heisman Winner: Pat Sullivan in 1971.

More importantly, he was also an Army Officer in WW II served in North Africa, Sicily and was wounded at Normandy (Purple Heart and Bronze Star). After he recovered, he was sent to the Pacific Theater and served in Okinawa!

When I was a kid, Shug was coaching Auburn, and Bear was coaching Alabama.

I'm no Auburn fan, but I am a helluva Shug Jordan fan!

Coach Prohm has had success against ranked teams in the past as he owns a school record five road wins against top-25 teams and his seven career wins against AP Top-10 teams are tied for the second-most in school history behind Johnny Orr (12.)

I've been very complimentary of Steve many times on here. I think his peaks are very good. He also has a 20 loss season (One of only 3 ISU coaches with that, and the first since the 70s) and a trajectory that is by any account going the wrong way. Also again, I don't think he should be fired and think he deserves another year or two to turn it around.

Hey, on the bright side, maybe the season won't last too much longer. Saw Coach K is questioning whether the season should continue because of covid and all the cancellations.

I don't like this. It means EIU will return all their starters and we will see another beat down next year. We need Garza and J-Bo gone!
