Post conference tournament rankings are out. A few changes for Iowa State. At 133 Hall gets bumped from #7 to #8 after Ryan Taylor from Wisconsin jumps ahead of him on the strength of a pair of wins over PSU's Conaway. Weatherman also gets bumped down a spot at 165, from #10 to #11 by John Staudenmayer of UNC. I'm not entirely sure why that move happened, Staudenmayer didn't beat anybody ranked ahead of him and Weatherman didn't lose to anybody ranked below him. Lelund Weatherspoon returns to the 174 rankings at #17 after winning Big XIIs. And Patrick Downey debuts at #20 at 197 after knocking off two ranked wrestlers over the weekend.

I thought it was pretty hilarious.

Me too. I may hate hawk wrestling but gotta give credit here. Never would have guessed any Iowa wrestler actually has a sense of humor. Always appreciate somebody taking a **** on stupid **** like interviewing wrestlers right when they get off the mat and asking the same pointless questions over and over. The fact that it was all about a mullet was a bonus.

Flowrestling has Hall 8th, Weatherman 11th, Weatherspoon 15th, & Downey 17th

I guess Intermat doesn't care about the HH over Smith. But, then again, Smith did beat Weigel in SV at their dual and then Weigel beat Downey. Guess they're looking at body of work. Regardless, as Pat says, rankings and seeds don't mean ****.

I would guess body of work. Weigel pretty much came out of nowhere prior to the Big 12.

Why Weigel isn't in front of Rotert is yet another head scratcher.

Full season results. Smith crashed and burned at Big XIIs after a great season so he fell but not all the way out. Similar for Rotert, just full resume still gives him the benefit of the doubt. Rogers is ahead of Weatherspoon at 174 for similar reasons.
