List-making (obvious); Blog (not quirky, but obsessive).

Home-music-recording was a big one for years, but that hasn't been a realistic opportunity lately.

Edit: Oh, Bracketology probably qualifies as quirky.

Check out my site! (link in signature) It's a work in progress.

The prediction section under 'Weekly Rating' is my favorite part of the site. Learned quite a bit of javascript.

I am not sure it is quirky, but I do work on my own car. Not many do it yourselfers anymore. I particularly like having to be creative with fixing things. Also, have plans to turn my Rove into a dedicated Overlanding Vehicle. May have to move to Denver though.

I like to make up guesses about the personalities in real life for the posters on this site projecting who they are from what they write here.

I lure people into my van, then kidnap them so I can eventually skin them and wear their skin as clothing.

I totally called this one.

I have a Hyperspin machine, too! When people come over they don't realize how cool it is until I say, "name your favorite game" and I open it up. :)

After Burner.

Just gaming system games or arcade games too?

I started a Talk Show on the Minneapolis public access channel. Our first episode released a couple weeks ago.

Do you have any odd hobbies or past-times?

One of mine is drawing maps. I use colored gel pens to indicate various things like highways, rail lines, streams, etc. I worked on one metro area for two years and the whole thing, when taped together, was about 10 x 10 feet large.

I don't really draw maps, but I really enjoy reading them.

My brother used to give me hell for it, but then he noticed I never, ever get lost.

I am not sure if you are serious but I too would often post things like this as a half-truth. I let these jokes run my life for years until I realized I was posting them as an outlet because I was too afraid to admit it to myself. If you are being serious I would suggest taking with a trusted friend or family member about your drinking.

We often post "I picked a bad day to stop drinking" when the Cyclones lose but until the day I die *that day* was one of the best of my life. No regrets so far. Best of luck to you.

Let me see, I have a few.

1. Pinball machines - used to own a couple and worked on them quite a bit. Ended up selling them due to how much space they took up. Still love pinball and will play anytime I can find a machine. Almost missed a flight back from Louisville, KY playing at the airport!

2. Drawing, painting, woodworking, sculpting - have not done it in about 10 years, but doing all types of artwork used to be my passion. Just no time anymore.

3. Pool - I have an 8ft table at home and have always loved playing pool. Used to be in some BCA leagues, but no longer have time, so I just play at home.

4. Arcade gaming - I have a Sega New Net City cab and a Neo Geo cab. Enjoy playing these and working on all the wiring/setting up new games. Will still soens a Friday or Saturday night on this.

5. Console Emulation - enjoy modding systems to play some cool emulators. My favorite is modding an original Xbox to play NES, SMS, SNES, Genesis, TG-16, and Arcade games.

6. Hiking - love hiking. The more remote/extreme the course, the better. As long as it does not require full fledged mountain climbing.

I build model airplanes. Kind of ties into my love of aviation history. The weirder the better.

I do some woodworking, which I don't think is quirky. I also buy old rusty tools and clean them up to use or sell.
I've been woodworking for a few years too and just got into fixing up old tools too. You have any go-to places for tools? I've found a few during a trip to Illinois a couple months back but finding antique stores in eastern Iowa with old saws or planes is like finding hens teeth.

I have a short attention span so I get into hobbies, usually waste a lot of money, and then get bored with it. Just a few.

Built a MAME arcade cabinet setup
Home brewing
Auto detailing-Still do this but not as anal about it as I use to be
PC Building
Audio Video
Travel research
