Was there some controversy when ZJ was captain? I know the US lost but wasn't aware of anything ZJ did that was so bad. I didnt watch it though.
He’s a beta *****.
He was criticized for pretty much every move and decision he made. His captain’s picks were horrible. The team was lax and presumed they would win. They were heavy favorites and they got smoked. Nobody in red looked ready to compete.
Geez... someone is triggered... lighten up buddy! It's not that big of a deal.
I don't like jerks.... I'm sorry. And if Bryson were to take an insurmountable lead this afternoon at some point... I will not watch. Just my opinion. You can disagree with that.... no biggie... don't care... everyone has different opinions... I won't hate on you personally for having a different opinion than I do.
Guess what... I think Patrick Reed is a jerk too... and don't want him to win either... does that get you all upset too? And it's not just LIV either... it's who these guys are. I don't like Tiger anymore either.... he's not on LIV (although I will admit I do not like LIV and think it has hurt the game).
Would it make you feel better if I were more positive and told you the guys I DO like that are on the leaderboard?? I like Rory. I like Conners. I LOVE Aberg! I like Jason Day. I'm kinda indifferent on Scottie honestly, but would easily want him to win over Bryson or Reed. I like Lowry. I love Rose, he's a great guy. I like Zach. I like Zander. I like IM a lot, love his swing. I'm a huge Homa fan! I like Morikawa. Is that enough positivity?
LIV has been horrible for golf. It has diluted leaderboards every weekend and added division to something that was otherwise unified. And it was done for money. Money that came from less than humane means, which is putting it nicely.
It’s ok to root against that and all its faces.
Are you a NFL fan?
If so, just imagine that Saudi Arabia started a pro football league... and offered to pay players WAY more money to come join their league... and that they would get paid this huge amount of money whether they won or lost... winning didn't matter... just have to show up and play.
And some NFL players.... let's just say for instance that Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Matthew Stafford all left the NFL and went and took the money from Saudi Arabia. And it diluted the talent level of the NFL, and now some fans started watching and supporting this Saudi league instead. Would you stick by the teams and players that were still in the NFL... like Mahomes and Josh Allen, etc.... or would you cheer for the Saudi teams and their players, who left just for money, to beat the NFL teams when given a chance to play against them?
That's what some golf fans want others to do.... go ahead and support these players and their league that went to play for Saudi money only... to defeat their NFL counterparts. Sorry.... I wouldn't be able to do that.
I have to admit though.... if I had to bet $1,000 on the winner today... I probably would have to go with Bryson.
I have a bad feeling that Bryson and his antics will get in Rory's head and negatively affect him and the way he likes to play. Even though I do feel like Rory has the much better golf game. Rory was missing a lot of fairly short putts yesterday or his 66 could have easily been a 62 or 63. Bryson was needing to scramble more and make some impossible putts, like on 18 for instance, to keep it close.
I just hope Rory can keep it together mentally... but wouldn't count on it. When Rory is hot... he's unbeatable... but then the first mistake he makes... watch out... he can let that affect him negatively too much sometimes.
It's definitely going to be fun to watch. 2 totally different styles and personalities going at it.

Same here. Golf is a game,when you add a six-pack it becomes a sport.
Rory has seemed like a genuinely good dude his entire career.....Bryson was a giant unlikeable douchebag long before LIV.
