He was a huge 125 pounder this year so I guess that doesn’t surprise me one bit. It’s gonna be shame if they can’t get him in the lineup this upcoming year, just hope he sticks around.

He tried to get DT for the Oklahoma job but couldn't get in contact with him if I remember right. He was the $ man behind D2 Central Oklahoma. He wants all of Oklahoma wrestling to do well. My guess is he's donating
that would have been wild if he would have gotten DT to Oklahoma instead.
Im glad we are in 112 then. I get to avoid being involved and get front row seats to the show.

This board HATES it that I'm a wrestling fan first, an ISU fan 2nd, and happen to have a couple of fairly well connected Iowa fans in my family. (Who I will admit sometimes screw with me.) So I don't necessarily have the cardinal and gold glasses that many have here.
Don't forget it all started when I joined the board and many of my posts were about how awful KJ was, and how he was taking our program down the crapper. I was immediately branded an Iowa fan because of it. Heck, one guy even said I was anti-KJ because he's black. It was really something. And even more funny that I was 100% right.
On the other hand, I was over the moon with excitement over the KD era and am still an ardent supporter of the staff. They aren't perfection but they are pretty damn good, and we are lucky to have them.

He won the 215 title at state as a junior this year. What makes you say he couldn’t end up a decent sized HWT after a year or two in a college weight room? I don’t know his height but on the surface it seems possible.
He's definitely big enough to grow into HWT. I just can't pass up a chance to b1tc4 about the 97 to HWT gap lol.
I agree. He looks like he could get to & carry 240ish pretty well. His dad wrestled at Nebraska & is his HS coach.
Oldest Baeir kid went to Nebraska too. Pretty nice coaching staff they have there for 1A. I wrestled in that conference back in the day lol.
NV’s heavy weight was a good 1A wrestler too. Going to play FB at NW Mo State. My son wrestled against them several times/year. Ashton is less animated, more calm than his dad.
I honestly never heard of him, then looked him up, literally his only losses the last 2 years were like Tiebreaker losses to Bartlett and Kasak. I bet he AA's....
