And that wraps up Session 1.

Still waiting for the team point deduction to be recorded...

Ankeny, IA.
6-3 with 3 bonus point wins.

Hope the young guys have the jitters out and come out firing in the the night session.

Many winnable matches to start the night (Will being the outlier, he could catch Keck, but seems very unlikely).

Good bonus. The team point loss sucks, but we’re still right in the mix.

Couple back side bonus from MJ and Cody would be nice to go with a bunch of front side wins.

I scored the brackets to seed, then the number of points for each round expected based on that seed. I included the top 10 based on those seeds (leaving out Penn State because they just annoy me). Based on the first round expectations on seeds for each wrestler, here is the variance per weight and also a team variance. Obviously Feldcamp and Bastida were huge contributors in this round. (note: Michigan and Ohio State were not included based on criteria above) Here are variances to seeds for round 1. 1711052074858.png

Is this saying we scored 6 points over our projected seed based point total as a team?

Of note, if anyone paid attention to the original scores to seed, Nebraska had 58 points in that analysis, but it was flawed, they only should have had 48.
