We all know that ISU will suffer heavy player losses on both sides of the line of scrimmage after this season. So who are the most likely candidates to fill the voids?

I think the offense is pretty simple.
QB Dekkers
RB Brock but let's see who emerges this year.
OT Treiber for Foster
TE Dean and Moore
WR my best guess Jackson and Milton
OL Downing, Newell, Simmons, Schweiger all could return on the inside
Remsburg oppo Treiber

I think Will McDonald comes back for another year because he'll have a target on his back this fall. He doesn't have JaQuan Bailey on the other side to fade some of the heat. Plus the NFL will want to see if he can maintain 250 lbs of muscle. The offensive line should be solid. Also excited about the secondary. I think McDonald & Chambers will leapfrog the guys in front of them.

*[denotes Covid eligibilty]

QB: Dekkers
RB: Jirehl Brock
WRM: *Tarique Milton, Daniel Jackson
WRX: Scates
WRZ: Shaw
LT: Ramos
LG: Downing
C: Simmons

TE: Dean
F: Rus

DE: *Zach Petersen, *Tucker Robertson
NG: Lee, Singleton, Brown
DE: Will McDonald, Blake Peterson
WLB: Dae'Shawn Davis
MLB: *Vance
SLB: Aric Horne
Star: Isheem Young
FS: Craig McDonald
SS: Mason Chambers
CB: Tampa
CB: Kyle

I'm looking at a starting lineup for 2 years from now using guys currently on our roster and I.... like it. What is this feeling? Is this love?

I think the word you're looking for is "continuity." Low turnover between both players and staff allows for better development of depth.

I’m not willing to do the “Super Senior” thing with our guys so much for ‘22. First because (unless the NCAA changes the rules), they’ll count against the 85 man roster again. Second, because CMC is giving them all every chance to be the “best version of themselves” they can be, with the extra S&C time this year that they missed.

And lastly, because I think they’ll have fulfilled that “unfinished business” thing that so many stuck around for this year…with great satisfaction.

Aside from a couple guys like Zach Petersen, who didn’t redshirt, I think most of these guys go get paid. And another underclassman or two as well.

Plenty of talent in that group. Leadership will need to come from new faces. Needless to say, a depth chart 2 years in advance will almost always have those issues, but perhaps this time more than others.

Here's the biggest key though, keeping those guys right there on the roster!! Roster fallout will kill a program

It’s pretty simple: Do you trust Campbell? The answer is yes. Therefore, you don’t worry about the roster, you just let the love flow.

Isheem Young will be cashing NFL checks this time next year.

Sorry, none of these proposed lineups will strike fear in the opposition. We could be in for a long season in 2022.

Disagree. With another year of development, I think 2022 will have a team around the same level as 2018 or better - and for a "down" or "rebuilding" year, that's pretty freaking fantastic for the history of ISU football.

If you ask me, the wildcard is retaining assistant coaches mainly Tom Manning.

We won in Norman in Kyle Kempt's first start. I am not going to underestimate Campbell's ability to have his players ready to go.

I would put Brown on the depth chart at DT/NT. I think he could start contributing later this year (we will see). Big, athletic guy... i guess we will see.

What about Darien Porter at WR? I was excited when he cam in, but have not heard much about him since.
