Is he playing both sides of the ball this year?

He played NT on defense. He blew up WSR’s interior line and made it hard for them to run the ball. He looked really stout on both sides.

I was really impressed with Humpal, too. If he weighed another 20 pounds he’d have a bunch of offers IMO.

Yes. Basically like a practice jersey by todays standards. Although if you go out there to a game the locker room and field are also pretty old school. The field if not great weather turns into a plowed corn field from 30 to 30.
They renovated the bleachers a few years ago and added a couple smaller ones to the sides of the main section. They added the WH stickers to the helmets a couple seasons ago as well. The jerseys are a complete embarrassment though. As far as Grundy goes I think it will be a battle, but I'd bet on the Eagles.

Tried googling a pic. Doesn’t do it justice for how dumb they look.

Honestly I think they buy them from the clothing store up town. Would make sense since the jerseys have their names on the back. They need to get with the times.

Got a buddy that played on one of Sanger’s championship teams in the 70’s. They could wear all white or all red uniforms, and they wouldn’t care as long they are still winning championships.

Not exactly sure.

Oh, they care. If you are around any Britt locals, all they talk about is HS football. Very obvious that they believe their life peaked while in HS. Pretty sad actually.

They have done well, not sure if they still talk about BB though. Talked to a woman I know who was married to a local once. (Divorced now). Said that they would break out the old VCR tapes of a couple their games and watch and analyze them every time they got together (like 2-3x a month). This was 20 years after they played.

CB Lewis Central vs CR Xavier could be a hell of a 4A championship game. Both won big tonight.

I think Harlan rolls this year, hope the LB can talk the wr/safety/rb to come with him next year, being recruited by iowa and isu.

3A is all 4 undefeated teams left though....

No disrespect to the Harlan guys at all but their best player is their place kicker. Broke all of Billy Cundiff’s records this year and had a 47 yard field in the Nevada game that was good from 60+. I’m told he has a ton of interest but no D-1 offers.

All but I think 2 of his kickoffs were touchbacks in that game, too (think he set their TB record as well). Their defense is pretty stout, but I wasn't overly impressed with their offense.

Product on the field works for them and I bet they win the title. But from a jersey stand point. Our school jerseys were nothing special but to be that good at football historically and look like they rinsed off the practice clothes to play a game is a little odd i think.
