Interesting note regarding Kansas' roster. This guy was their target after they missed on Zion G IIRC. Versatile wing/small forward type player.

Another interesting KU note De Sousa could still be ruled eligible and could help replace Doke. II had thought he was already ineligible but guess a decision by the NCAA is still pending. The most KU Self thing to happen would be losing Udoka and the NCAA declaring Silvio eligible right after.
Still adding De Sousa or Agbaji won't solve their 3 pt shooting issues.

"If you ask me, though, the Jayhawks single most important player at this point is a guy currently residing in NCAA purgatory, sophomore big man Silvio De Sousa. De Sousa’s name came up in the Adidas/FBI trial and former Adidas consultant admitted on the stand that he gave $2,500 to De Sousa’s guardian to help pay for online courses for De Sousa. Because of that, De Sousa is currently ineligible and the Jayhawks are waiting to hear a decision from the NCAA. Sources close to the program remain hopeful that De Sousa will be cleared in the near future and he has continued to practice with the team while awaiting a decision. But, there’s nothing concrete that says he’ll be back.

Like pretty much anybody else who covers or follows college basketball closely, I’m not betting against Self and the Jayhawks until they are actually beaten in a Big 12 race. But, I’d like their chances a lot more with a quick, athletic and tough big like De Sousa available to them."

Hopefully after the 21st.

Sounds like he's getting close to returning. KState needs it.

Hopefully after Saturday.

Well well well, Wade may play in Hilton on Saturday afterall.
(still unlikely and Wade won't be in basketball shape but KSU adding their best player just in time for the trip to Hilton feels like nut cup possibilities are there now)

@KellisRobinett Bruce Weber says it's too early to say whether Dean Wade will play for K-State against Iowa State on Saturday, but it's looking like he will be back on the court within the next 10 days.

Interesting timing... Curious why Yuat is announcing this late. Possible TCU has a late 2nd semester but pretty rare for a player to leaving in the middle of January.

@GoodmanHoops TCU’s Yuat Alok (3.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg) is transferring, source told @WatchStadium. Third reserve for the Horned Frogs to transfer at the break, joining Angus McWilliam and Kaden Archie (2.1 ppg, 1.5 rpg). Alok was a highly recruited kid coming out of junior college.

Not sure if this belongs in here, but Konate for WVU is more than likely done for the year by his/his family's choice. I'm assuming that means he'll be declaring for the draft this year.

Has he been out for a while? I don't remember seeing him when they played K State.

I think he played their first 10 or so games, last game he played was December 8th. Been sitting out since and a lot of people think he won't even try to come back for the year and risk more.

Here's the conformation.
@JonRothstein West Virginia big man Sagaba Konate (knee) remains out indefinitely, per a school spokesman. No set timetable for return. Hasn't played since December 8th.

Trending up for Wade...
@JonRothstein Kansas State's Dean Wade (foot) went through more portions of practice today, per Bruce Weber. Will be a game day decision for tomorrow at Iowa State. Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year.

If I had to guess, I think they're using it to give our staff something extra to think about and prepare for, and not much more than that.
