Quean has a rough finish. Larson, Marsden, Kroells, and Cabell. Or a great opportunity

I think he needs to win two of those plus beat the unranked guys from Central Michigan and West Virginia. Based on history he's got a shot against Larson and Cabell has been struggling lately so he might be able to get lucky there.

Who did Geo Martinez beat that vaulted him up back into the rankings? I see that he is ranked above Gabe despite his victory over him earlier this year. I also remember him not doing as well at the Harold Nichols.

Going entirely by rankings, meaning anybody in the top 29 earns a bid, the Big XII would have...
125: 6 bids
133: 5 bids (Simms from Utah Valley misses the cut)
141: 2 bids
149: 3 bids (Timmy Box from Northern Colorado misses the cut)
157: 4 bids (Eleazar DeLuca from Northern Colorado misses the cut and Colgan from Wyoming is very borderline but is in the four).
165: 4 bids
174: 3 bids (David Kocer from SGSU misses the cut)
184: 3 bids (Bubba Scheffel from West Virginia misses the cut)
197: 5 bids (Brad Johnson from Oklahoma misses the cut)
HWT: 3 bids (Quean Smith misses the cut).

That would set up well for Harrington to steal a spot but really poorly for Meeks or Rodriguez.

Right now I've got Larson pegged as a 9 seed at Big XIIs (if they seed that far) so he'll need two wins to qualify. One pigtail and one Consolation. I think he'll have at least a 50/50 shot as long as an upset doesn't give him Klimara in the Consolation pigtails or something.

Cheer for all Big XII guys to get wins and push themselves into the rankings at 141 the rest of the season though. We really need a third or fourth bid for Meeks/Rodriguez to have a solid shot.
