This would warrant the Dukes to come out of retirement.

It would be nice if the article researched what the tax is in other states. If the results are what is implied in this article, that Oregon producers will pay a lot more in taxes then producers in other states, then manufacturers will simply move out of state or fold. It doesn't sound like it's a "at the tap" tax so Budweiser and Miller will not be impacted, just Oregon brewers. It sounds like this is a really bad idea and I doubt it will pass.

It would make more sense and more $$ if they taxed all of it, rather than trying to put their small businesses at a disadvantage.

My division people in my workgroup who are located in Portland reside across from a micro brewery. They would not be happy to have a 33% price increase in their little happy hours. Micro brewery establishments are huge in Portland. This might impact the homeless people living in the downtown parks also.

Yes, this state is messed up. The hippies fight against a State Sales tax so all the people from Vancouver, WA come over the bridges and buy tax free goods. They can't figure out how to fund a new bridge project over the Columbia River (they killed the toll years ago).

Just like in 2007, instead of trying to fix the real problems, the Oregon Senate is trying to fix what???? Too many microbrewers in the state that will fight this I'm doubtful it will amount to anything.

Widmer Hefeweizen is the nectar of the Gods!
