I've noticed in a few media day videos the scoreboard in the practice facility was showing 1.2 seconds remaining on the clock. Is this relevant for some reason that I am not remembering? Did we hit/miss a final shot last year? Of simply random time on the scoreboard from the last time they were using it?

It was a reference to the ISU Iowa Football game. We hit the field goal with 1.2 seconds left on the clock. The scoreboard also reflects this score (20-17). Expert ISU trolling.

Maybe they practice banking in 3-pointers starting with 1.2 seconds left on the clock to pull it out when we play KU at Allen Fieldhose :jimlad:

I really wanted to believe you, but I was pretty sure the score was 0-0. Just verified on the Custer/Thomas video that it is plus every other category shows 0s except the 1.2.

And once I thought about it, football clocks don't have tenths of seconds usually. I know there is a rare one that does but we kicked that field goal with 0:01 on the clock...not 0:01.2.

What was the time left when they played UNC? wasn't it around that much time?

Um that's the default setting when the scoreboard is turned on before it is set to anything (time, score, etc.).

Congratulations, you've been hired as a Big 12 replay official.

I like the troll but I personally would have set it at 74-65 in honor of the Big 12 tournament title.

I saw this on Twitter, but the picture has been deleted. It was the score and time left at the time Netten made the kick. Why we would have it on the scoreboard for our BASKETBALL media day, I don't know.
