    La Tech is good. 23-10 record with wins over Houston, Murray State, Utah State, Northeastern all in the NCAA Tourney and Nevada however they lost their top two players for the year to injuries.

    The Lied Rec Center (indoor track) was constructed I believe in the 1980's. That's about it.

    What would Pollard be remembered for?

    Christy Johnson was hired by Bruce as was Cael first as Special Asst to the AD while he trained for the Olympics and then as Coach in waiting for the wrestling program. Pollard took credit for it but it was Bruce who kept him at ISU.

    Your budget number are WRONG otherwise ISU budget would have to be $50 million which it is not. Also you failed to list the NCAA appearance in women basketball (2005) and the NIT Final 4's for Pre Pollard.

    His record is worse than that if you take out the Transylvania U and High Point College. This is a good PR move and will help him get another year at Southern Miss but if he does not go to post season after 6 years as the head coach he will be let go.

    Just to keep things factual... when Pollard arrived in October of 2005 the football team was allready 4-0 thus his record that year was 3-5. Also from a previous post...Bruce hired the volleyball coach not JP.

    That is not fair or accurate. BVDV's last year the basketball team was in the NCAA Tournamnet and the football team won a bowl game. Pollard took over a program that just came off one of it's most successfull seasons in athletic history and the basketball roster was full of young promising talent.

    Here we go with the revisionist history again. FACT: Bruce's last year the men's basketball team went to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament. The roster was full promising great talent. Rock bottom? Winning 19 games and advancing to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournamnet is not rock bottom...

    Remove #1, #2, and #3. Fennelly was allredy at ISU as was Cael (his hire was in the works and it was done before Pollard enterd the picture). Christy was hired by previous administration.
