    Hayden Pauls commits

    Not sure how much we were competing with each one, but the list of Iowan OL commits to Iowa who had both ISU and Iowa offers back to 2016: Wirfs, Fenske, Endres, Miller, Kallenberger. They have a 2020 commit from Volk. There may be more out-of-state guys, but, meh...I'll leave that to someone else.

    Marquette looks TURRIBLE!

    I think they are playing in a tournament over T-Giving in which they play Dayton (pretty good), could possibly play Notre Dame and Wichita State. They play FSU, no clue if they're any good, though. Of course they play us (pats self on back). Then again, they did play a terrible Coppin State...

    Kinda wish I could complain bout being ranked "only" #9. I didn't listen to Miller's thing, but I think the problem a lot of fans have -- not just Hawk fans but those around the nation -- is that Alabama is ranked in the top 4 with a loss against an Ole Miss team that has two losses.

    Pretty impressive. They actually had fans there that cared and made it a tough venue. Not the blue hairs. Yeah, I know the oldies donate big $$$, but they tend to think they're going to Maude's funeral rather than a game.

    Vet advice

    Hang in there. I lost my Golden to lymphoma several years ago. I spent an ungodly amount of money on treatment keeping him happy and active for a full year after he was diagnosed. But I wouldn't have had it any other way. He got me through a crappy divorce and made some dark days much more...

    I think Bobby Hansen was on the radio and said the reached out to some of the big name guys and they were asking for Kirk Ferentz type money. Everyone knows that at Iowa, only one guy makes Kirk Ferentz-type money. Justifiably so, I might add.
