Surprised to see Palpatine taking one on the chin. I thought he was was a shoe in for final 4.

Idk… is he even a villian?
Shooter McGavin, a prick golfer, just beat Amon Goeth, a real person who murdered and tortured an unknown, but substantial amount of Jewish people during the holocaust. The voting in this tournament makes 0 sense.

Also, in the first round, Cruella De Vil beat Max Cady. So the voters thought a woman who wants to kill puppies was worse than a man who stalks, tortures, try’s to rape an underage girl, and try’s to kill the family.

A lot of these come down to which film has been seen more often or which villain is more famous.

Like I have no idea who Max Cady is, for example.

And I'm loosely aware of Goeth, but have never seen Schindler's List.

I don’t vote when I have no exposure to any or either of the matchups.

Everybody has their own standards of voting, which is cool. I happen to agree with you on both of your examples, but as has been pointed out, other voters are going with a "villain" that they can relate to in real life as the one worthy of their vote. There are no right or wrongs, it's everyone's own preference.
