Pen and paper. If you have your phone out, you're supposed to get booted to prevent people from googling answers, although I don't know if it's enforced. My preference would be they just ban phones from the event altogether.

I've attended a few Cy's House events over the years. As I recall, they have a fishbowl on the table in which you have to put your phone.
