SEC/Big10 Pushing for 16 Team Playoff

This would be the biggest reason why I also don’t want any further expansion. There was at least Miss and Alabama that claimed they should have been in the CFP last year too but had no business in it other than beating unranked SEC teams and 9-3 overall

The whole thing stinks, but I would support a system that guarantees at least two Big XII teams. That keeps the Big XII and Iowa State in the conversation.

If the other teams from the B1G and the SEC get in that shouldn't, they should be easy wins for the teams from the other conferences when they play. It's one thing to say that Alabama and Mississippi didn't deserve to be in the CFP (they didn't), but it is another to line up and beat them in the CFP. Both would have been tough matchups (50-50 IMO) for Iowa State last year.

Back to the original point, Iowa State would have been in the 2020 and 2024 CFP with a 16 team field that reserves two spots for Big XII teams, and I can live with that!

I understand this sentiment, but man, it would take a lot of enthusiasm out of me if we were in a second-class division. I understand we're likely never going to win a national championship, but I'd at least like a chance at a win or two in the big boy playoff. Beating NC State for a FBS-2 championship would be gross.

I did miss that, I was thinking that about Alabama and their bad losses but then also in reference to Mississippi for the most part.

Don't want to hear about this quite yet. You are correct with half the B1G and SEC right off the bat, but it would be more like 10 or 11. The rich just get f-richer. It's hard to root for.

AL and pretty much everyone in the SEC and B1G is the enemy. Sorry.
