Chicken salad salad w grapes and walnuts is delightful. Grapes add some freshnes and nice crunch from the walnuts. I make a version with turmeric.

People who like Grapes and Walnuts in their chicken salad definitely wear jeans with lots of assdazzle and thick stitching.

People that put ketchup on steaks. I can tolerate people that put steak sauce on a steak but IMO a good steak does not need sauce. Ketchup is just wrong though, eat a hamburger if you need ketchup on it. As for pork chops I sort of have the same philosophy that a properly seasoned and cooked pork chop tastes good on it's own. But pork is more versatile kind of like chicken where I sometimes will marinade it or you can do BBQ sauce or some kind of creamy sauce or gravy over the top if you want to add a different flavor.

A family I grew up with always made lutefisk during the holidays. I was invited out for it once when I was in high school and holy hell what is wrong with people?!?!

Growing up, my options for dinner were "eat" or "sit there until you eat"

I don't have an aversion to any food. Maybe beets, but I'd still try them again if someone fed them to me.

Yeah I feel like that's how most of us grew up. My mom would make liver and onions for my dad like once a year and he would force us kids to sit there and eat it too. That is a smell that I will never forget and my god it was just gross. You can't convince me people actually like it.

Liver and onions is definitely not my favorite, but I actually had it prepared by an aunt of mine where I liked it. I'm not sure what she did, but I was surprised. My mom did not have the touch with that meal, so we'd have to choke it down once or twice a year.

I think a lot of times, people try something once and get it in their head that something is gross versus giving it another try. My first experiences with brussel sprouts and sushi were terrible, but now I love them both.
