The only way this would have any value would be if you got audio from them so we could hear what players and especially coaches are saying to the refs.

Not sure this is true. We don't play nearly as physical of defense as we have in the past, but Houston definitely does. Our offense tends to struggle when the ball "sticks", and if UH can freely maul our ball handlers it could get ugly quick.

I know there is some stabilizing function, but I can't imagine the motion sickness I'd experience trying to watch a game through the un-fluidness of a ref-cam.

I think this would be successful if it was used in addition to what we get now.

For example, if a ref makes a call that needs reviewed or is very controversial with everyone freaking out…they can switch over to that cam when discussing it to see what they saw from their perspective etc. Just an extra tool to make you hate a ref more lol
