I'm tired of hearing about the great Matt Campbell

7-5, a winning record. A bit disappointed, yes. However, we are going bowling again with a very young team. It’s fair to question some of the decisions as along as people don’t go into meltdown mode. At the end of the day, people forget where we were 3 years ago. 7-5 > 3-9. I do think there will be a (couple) change to the coaching staff. Next years OL and DL are suspect but the future is bright with more talent.

Is the team really that young this year? Seems about half the starters are seniors

OL and NT are about the only position stacked with seniors that had major playing time this year.
OL - 4
DL - 2
WR - 2
LB - 1 (feel like I’m missing 1)

Yeah this was the year to take things to the next level. It didn’t happen, obviously. Because of expectations, this was a step back year. But it wasn’t disastrous.

In recent seasons, we have made fun of teams that like Iowa that feasted on teams with losing records. This year, we are that team. Texas is the only team we beat this year that had a winning record.

Iowa is Iowa. We are Iowa State.

not sure Campbell has the right staff Manning is ******* joke

Before you start anonymously slamming people by name, get a clue. This season we had one of the highest scoring offenses in ISU history and ranked at the top nationally in red zone efficiency.

Our offensive line got owned last night. Manning could have been the best play caller in history, but it wouldn't have mattered.

If the Baylor kicker misses and Pettway holds on to a ball that hit him in the stomach and we’re 9-3 and everyone is signing Campbell’s praises. Things are never as good or as bad as they seem. If we string together enough 7-8 win season eventually the ball will bounce our way and we’ll go 11-2.

Defensive line got owned too tho not as badly. I've noticed our kickoff coverage has slipped the past couple games. Not sure what's going on there.

And if Purdy doesn't fall on that fumble and Texas doesn't have a horrible offside call, we could be 5-7.

Agreed. ISU got owned up front by the K-state D-line for most of the game. Some of the other times that occurred during the CMC tenure, were back to back owning by Texas.

We have a chance to win 8 games for the 3rd straight year for the first time in over 40 years. And some people are complaining about the coach???

Either the OP is 10 years old and knows zero about ISU football history or this is the dumbest thread in the history of CF.
