Welcome back to “On That Note,” CF’s official weekly music exploration, hosted by @MeanDean, @CycloneRulzzz and cyclones500. I’ll be your host this week.

Topic this week; Favorite songs released 2010-19.

Please include music released only within that 10-year window. Don't include older stuff you happened to encounter for the first time during this decade.

We'll allow leeway for something that came at the extreme tail-end of 2009 (like, the last few weeks of that year) and you didn’t find until early ’10, but otherwise, stick with new music 2010 onward.

I'll begin my list shortly. Chime in whenever you're ready.

Before I start posting selections, quick observation. I told the OTN crew I’m somewhat surprised how much material I’ve accumulated for a best-of-the-decade,considering I’m entering the Senior Discount period and dwindling exposure to The Latest Tunes. Maybe I’m more inclined these days to keep tabs on almost every song I like, compared to what I might have done a couple of decades ago, when I played the role of a music hipster.

OK, I’ll STFU now and begin my song list, in a follow-up post. :D

First 3 choices are “RIP-related” as it applies to the ‘10s.

The Cars
“Blue Tip”
From “Move Like This” (2011)

A nod to the late Ric Ocasek. Cool how much the signature Cars sound adapted well to 2010s pop-rock.

Stone Temple Pilots
“Between the Lines” (2010)
You always were my favorite drug / even when used to take drugs

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
From “Hypnotic Eye” (2014) … RIP, dude.

"Forgotten Man"
I feel like a 4-letter word

"Fault Lines"
