Shapiro has the frame for it. I think his offense is better suited at 197 just based off the small sampling I saw last year. Hope he’s living in that weight room.
Word is Ben is putting some muscle on him. Sounds like he is over 215-220 range right now. I think he will do well at 197, especially as he matures. Could be a multiple guy battle at 197 now.
Look for Duggan to cut to 197 to challenge Shapiro as well
I’d read that and was mildly surprised. Thought he would be in line for Heavyweight.
Think he still has a little bit of a cut ahead of him to make weight. Will be a good battle if he can make it down
Confirmed that Dresser made a visit to Ayala. As did Tom Brands and Schwab.
Looks like Facundo had a good visit with Dresser and Metcalf tonight. Really hope we can lock him down! He would be a gigantic recruit. One of our best ever.
Lloyd will be 149 in college. He is super short and compact. I believe he basically grayshirted last year and will wrestle a year at JUCO with 4 years to wrestle 3 in 2020-2021. So could take over for Degen after he graduates.
Also he has been working out in Ames this summer and living with some of the current wrestlers.
