I’d love to see Boyd for Morris in this match. I think Berhalter is not comfortable with Boyd’s defensive cover in his system, but if we want to press the issue I think Boyd offers so much more in attack.

Nothing pisses me off more than when a guy lays down for a minute after the number on the board is shown and the ref blows the whistle right on 3 minutes...

This x1000. I’d tell both teams at the beginning of the match that if you pull that crap during the game, I’m adding 50% more time. You lay there for a minute, I’m tacking on 1:30 no matter what the original stoppage time was.

As a casual soccer fan id like to know more, is this a thing for only national teams? Dont seem to notice it for club teams, or do they have different systems?

I think at this point most clubs use them as well. There are a few different systems available and I’m sure they have to get clearance from FIFA/regional confederations to be used. When you watch a match and see somebody subbed out, and they show you the graphic of ground covered 9.13 km and top speed 24.57 km/hr, those stats come from these type of monitoring systems.
