Lakers have no one left on the team. THT should get a legit shot at a roster spot due to the disparity of the team.

He has the length despite his height to guard guys much taller than him. He needs to work on his body though to get in better shape. he doesn't need to grow to make it. he needs to work on his handle and shooting/shot selection

Length only partially makes up for slow feet and a lack of athleticism and explosion. Not enough in the big leagues.

That's the thing I like most about what appears to be CSP's approach... Get guys who can develop and grow before our eyes for 3-4 years and become intimate members of our extended Cyclone family like so many of our legends past and present.
I want another Ejim.

What can you afford on 800k in LA? A studio over a bowling alley?
He’ll make more than just his NBA contract money. Surely Klutch will get him a nice deal with Nike. Plus any other extracurricular stuff like radio spots, autograph sessions, etc.

Niang, Morris, Nader and Burton all got significantly better playing in the G league. THT will do the same.

Lebron will give that poor kid the death stare after one lousy step back brick and THT will change quickly!

He'll get abused defensively in summer league...and he'll learn.

Interesting. THT had a stress fracture discovered at the combine which would explain why he didn't participate in the 5 on 5's and possibly a bit of slip in the draft. Hope it isn't serious and he can play in the summer league.

@mcten Talen Horton-Tucker will not play in the Lakers’ California Classic games in Sacramento, per the team. He is dealing with a stress reaction in his right foot which was discovered at the combine. He will be re-evaluated in Las Vegas during summer league.

That stinks. Tough timing there.

Meh. Don't play, get healthy. He is not out there trying to make a team like most of those guys. He'll be on the Lakers. They desperately need to fill their roster with good cheap talent and he's already on their team.

Not to mention the Lakers just dropped ANOTHER 3 players to make room for The Eyebrow's max deal.

I'm not even sure if they have 5 players left on their team currently.

Totally agree, getting healthy is far more important than playing in the summer league. THT needs as much playing time and experience playing under the Lakers coaches as he can get so it is better for him to play if he's able.

The three players the Lakers dropped (aka traded to the Wizards) was actually for new players. They already had enough space for AD. Now they have $32M to sign Kawhi.

THT 2020 NBA Champ!

Are people going to try and still claim Talen made the wrong decision?

Nope. I'm gladly eating all my words and congratulating THT on making the correct decision. I'm very happy for him that it all worked out. Another Cyclone in the league... can't get better than that!!
