Somewhere in the Minneapolis Area
Any 70's disaster movie:
Towering Infero
Earthquake
The Airport Series

Then throw in the last 3 movies in the original Planet of the Apes series and you have an enjoyable, cringeworthy weekend of binge watching.

This one created a whole cottage industry (and has actually over time received critical acclaim):

Plus any of the Russ Meyer boob-a-paloozas:

I think Road House that others mentioned is probably the most entertaining bad movie where people may not have known they were making a bad movie.

I mean it is 10/10 on entertainment factor yet horribly written in some ways and I don't think they were going for laughs on the throat ripping etc...

Dalton has 10 laugh out loud lines and I don't think they were going for laughs on any of them, plus Swayze probably should have been the top action hero of his generation yet wasn't really in that many action movies. Seems like the guy could have done his own stunts in everything.

Admit it, having to buy a 5' 6" 150 pound PHD putting asswhipping on 300 pound hillbillies with knives was a big part of the fun.

DO IT!!!
You KNOW you want to!!!

James Gunn...?

Nathan Fillion, Elizabeth Banks, and Michael Rooker?

I think I am sold.

I would find it hilarious if Gunn did something counter to type and cast Nathan Fillion as Adam Warlock or something for Guardians III and let him ham it up.

When this category of thread comes up it's crazy in a way.

A lot of the stuff listed is stunning cinematic achievement compared to thousands upon thousands of cringeworthy films (that were never going to be anything but).

Maybe a better list would be crap that good/respected actors appeared in.

Force Ten from Navarone, anyone?

Roxbury could make my list for this topic. I didn't see it until several years after release. I tend to doubt SNL skits stretched to movie length, so maybe my expectation was so lo

"So, do you think they got shrunk down, or is it just a giant sack?”

The SNL thing reminds me of the 'Ladies' Man' movie. Just awful and I'm not even sure I've seen the whole thing, but it's really funny how he slides across the room, and there's a scene with a boat house or something blowing up that was really funny.

SNL too: Trapped in Paradise. Dan Carvey's line 'Oh my god, guns!' is great.

Another terribly awesome movie that hasn't been thrown out yet is Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man. That movie is like a 50 car pile up. I know I should just keep moving along but...

Repeating but I watch bad B movies on the Comet channel on the regular.

Sam Elliot by the way.

I own this movie! Sam Elliott is a stud!
How about this one?

Hank Azaria for the win.

Harry Shearer shows up, too...

Feels like half the cast of The Simpsons already.

Jean Reno is great in everything.

They also have a pretty funny Siskel and Ebert pastiche going on, too...

...though they missed the chance to have the monster step on them.

It ain't art, and it ain't the 1954 original, but it is eminently entertaining.

And in my opinion Harry Shearer's newsman/announcer voice is his best voice.

Yeah, he's pretty much doing a live-action Kent Brockman the whole movie.

"I for one welcome our new insect overlords and I’d like to remind them as a trusted TV personality I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in the underground sugar caves."

"Things aren’t as happy as they used to be down here at the unemployment office. Joblessness is no longer for philosophy majors. Useful people are starting to feel the pinch."

Shearer has a pretty kicking list of characters, though...

Reverend Lovejoy
Mr. Burns
Smithers
Flanders
Pondskipper Skinner
Lenny
Kang

...and a couple of others.
