Lost it’s 16th game in a row tonight. They are 5-22 right now and likely will finish the year at 5-26. Are they one of the worst teams ever from a major conference? (Debateable if the Pac 12 qualifies as that anymore) I know Oregon State has had some historically bad teams recently.

Also looked like Darius McNeill lost his starting spot after some bad games. Tough year for him. His team is also 2-31 in the Pac 12 since he started playing there.

McNeill was one of a couple pg's that we got weekly updates on last year. I wondered why they didn't continue this year.

Man, that is just brutal.

They were a #4 seed in the tournament back in 2016. Talk about a steep and quick fall from glory.

Funny how some of the "losses" from spring 2017 are not really losses in hindsight. Juiston cannot stay healthy, McNeill sucks, etc., though Wright is pretty good.

Daryl Edwards was a bust at LSU and is grad transferring

Teddy Allen had a solid freshman year at WVU and is sitting out at Wichita State right now

Race Thompson redshirted 2017-18 at Indiana and was hurt in their first game this year.

Eden Ewing was kicked off Purdue last season and is averaging 9 and 8 at Texas Southern this year.

Alexis Yetna redshirted his freshman year at South Florida but is averaging 12 ppg and 9.7 rpg this year.

Very informative -- thank you for this.

Seems like none of them are really truly huge losses.

Wright is the best of them.

With him around, though, we might not have Haliburton.

We won that trade, if it was one.

Not sure exactly what's been going on in Berkeley the past two seasons, but I can't imagine this coach will last much longer. Normally, even when Cal is meh, I'll still watch them on tv when I can. But now they're SO bad, I tried at the beginning of the season to watch and just couldn't do it. Painful hoops to witness. Just painful.

That is quite a list, though I have a hard time saying that each of those players (w/ McNeil, Feazell, and Justion) wouldn't have had better starts to their careers with ISU's staff and development then where they ended up.
McNeil did get what he wanted to play for his high school coach and an immediate starting job even it doesn't end up being the best for his career. He was 18 and I don't hold any bad feelings for him even that late flip hurt the staff's reloading effort. Cal was going to be bad so this shouldn't be too surprising due to losing Cuonzo Martin and their talent.

I didn't come aboard ISU basketball until the end of the Nance era, so I didn't experience that season. I've read numerous recollections from CF'ers who recall it clearly.
The 75-76 team had Hercle Ivy and won only 3 games.

Hercle would jack shots up from any distance and nobody seemed to care. We were terrible and all 3,000 in attendance wondered how bad we would lose.
Then we hired Johnny and the Iowa State basketball world was turned upside down.
