Players looked tired. The need to lower PT to prepare for tournaments.

I have no argument that we are playing our best seven players. But now that the odds of winning the b12 have lessened, we need to rest and lower Pt to our key players to keep them fresh. Go back to rotating 10 like we did earlier in the season.

NWB has had a great year but has lost that quickness to the hoop displayed earlier in the season and his shot is struggling. Jacobson didn’t have his typical energy, his recovery on pick and rolls and his help defense looked fatigued. THT didn’t look like himself last night (Baylor). He was getting beat of the dribble multiple times.

The extra minutes to our reserves will benefit us with depth when the tournaments start. Conditt, Talley and Lewis have all shown the ability. Now is the time to get them confident and comfortable with the team.

Wigginton and Lard look to have their game legs, but they get their rest. It doesn’t matter if we go to the dance if we get nocked out in the first week.

So many people trying to come up with excuses. I've seen "tired", "lack of leadership", "no effort", etc. We just didn't play well, and maybe we're not as good as you want us to be. That's okay.

These guys aren't tired. They just won at the Octagon by 14 four days ago. They played bad last night and lacked effort and execution
Baylor was the underdog and reveled playing the role. They clearly were out to get the win; out hustling us on all fronts.

They've looked tired the last two home games to me. Did they look good at K State? Yes, but they had a week off for it.

I'm not sure how "lack of leadership" and "no effort" are excuses. They are not excuses, they are why the team didn't play well. An excuse is a "it's not my fault because X" rationalization. "It's not my fault because I didn't give the necessary effort" doesn't work. It is definitely your fault in that case.

1) We have 2 or 3 guys playing for the initials N.B.A. instead of the initials I.S.U.
2) Our guys love to watch the other team rebound. And by that I mean they literally WATCH the other team rebound.
3) Our coach kills momentum with TO's, can't draw up an out of bounds play to save his life, refuses to try a zone or a press, and needs to look in the mirror when he talks about toughness.

It has nothing to do with 18-22 year old elite athletes being tired.

These guys are in elite shape and they're young. The tired excuse is lame. It's about their effort, not their energy.

I do think more players need to see the floor. Even if it's only 5 or so minutes for a guy like Conditt or Lewis, it would give a break to everyone. Maybe that small break would help avoid these 4-6 minute scoring droughts we seem to have every game.

Babb, Haliburton, and Jacobson are all getting too many minutes
Not picking on your post, but I've seen every name in the rotation associated with too many minutes, or not playing well, after a loss.

Someone has to play. Prohm has to get better at identifying who, and when, that needs to be.

From what I've seen, Lewis just looks lost on defense when he is in. Not sure if the metrics back that up or not.

Conditt is a maybe because he can still shoot from the outside so he doesn't kill your spacing.

IMO that's more of a mental constraint than physical. At home it just feels like our guys think they can go through the motions to a certain degree and Hilton will pull them through it. This team has not embraced the Hilton home court advantage and the chaos that it can create. I honestly don't know how you fix that.
